On Friday March 15 Brazil’s National Electricity Regulatory Agency – Aneel published the ranking assessing the operations of 47 concession operators in 2018 and ranked the distribution companies with the best performance in terms of service continuity. Energisa Sul Sudeste tops the ranking, which includes a further seven distribution companies of Energisa Group amongst the top 10 in two categories (with more than 400 thousand consumers and those with this amount or fewer).

Energisa Sul Sudeste came first in the general ranking, rising to places on last year consolidating the company’s excellent progress, which recently earned the IASC Award for best distribution company in the south-east region. Amongst large distribution companies, Energisa Mato Grosso came third and stood out amongst companies with the best progress, followed by Energisa Minas Gerais and Energisa Paraíba, tied in fifth. Energisa Mato Grosso do Sul rose three places, from 10th in 2017 to seventh this year, demonstrating the excellent service performance the company has been providing, which also received recognition in the IASC Award, which ranked it as the best distribution company in the Midwest. Energisa Tocantins came eleventh and Energisa Sergipe fourteenth in the ranking.

In the category of companies with 400 thousand consumer units or less, Energisa Borborema came second and Energisa Nova Friburgo sixth.

By ruling of Aneel, the recently acquired companies Ceron and Eletroacre did not participate in this year’s ranking, as they were recently under the designation arrangement, with relaxed performance requirements.
