Consolidated free and captive electricity consumption (2,570.6 GWh) in Energisa Group’s concession areas recorded consecutive growth for the twelfth time in April 2018, rising by 4.8% over the same month last year. Industrial consumption, in turn, also rose for the eleventh month in a row. Industrial consumption remained positive in the month, rising by 7.6%. In terms of segments, the food segment, accounting for approximately 41% of the industrial sector served by Energisa Group and which has not experienced a contraction since July 2017, rose by 10.9%, driven by higher consumption in the concessions of EMS (+24.8%), ESS (+9.6%), EMT and ETO (+7.9%). Consequently, Energisa Group’s captive and free electricity consumption (10,197.8 GWh) rose in the first four-month period of 2018, by 3.8% over the same period last year.
